Five women charged in $10,000-plus Dick’s Sporting Goods shoplifting scheme

After police said they played a role in stealing more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from a Dauphin County sporting goods store, a group of five women face criminal charges.
The Baltimore women were charged after a Saturday afternoon incident at a Dick’s Sporting Goods store on Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township, according to local police.
Police were called to the Dick’s about 3:59 p.m., and when officers arrived, they were told that the women had entered the store earlier and grabbed armfuls of merchandise before fleeing the area in a vehicle.
A township officer spotted the fleeing vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver continued to flee, police said.
A chase ensued, and officers followed the suspects into Cumberland County, where they eventually were pulled over and arrested, according to police.
The women were then transported to the Dauphin County Judicial Center, where they each were arraigned on multiple charges, police said.
Those charges are listed below:
Kentral S. Dodd, 18, of Baltimore faces felony charges of retail theft and conspiracy.
Tatiyana E. Jenkins, 19, of Baltimore faces felony charges of retail theft and conspiracy.
D-Arnjai D. Raheem, 21, of Baltimore faces felony charges of retail theft and conspiracy.
Jasmine D. Smith, 25, of Baltimore faces felony charges of retail theft, conspiracy and fleeing or attempting to elude an officer. She also faces summary offenses of reckless driving and driving at a safe speed.
Javai A. Smith, 22, of Baltimore faces felony charges of retail theft and conspiracy.
