Reading man hit security guard with his car at Lancaster County business

Police in Lancaster County said a man hit a security guard with his car.
Elwin Ramirez-Vega, 20, of Reading, was charged with aggravated assault and driving with a suspended license.
According to East Cocalico Township police, the incident happened July 31 at a business in the first block of Weaver Road.
Ramirez-Vega and a friend went to the business to fight an employee, police said, and security was notified of the threat.
When a guard approached in the parking lot, Ramirez-Vega accelerated his vehicle and hit the guard, police said.
The guard slid up over the hood of the vehicle and wasn’t injured, according to police.
Ramirez-Vega was taken into custody Sept. 8 by Reading police. He was taken to Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $100,000 bail, police said.
