Cleveland security guards find man critically beaten
CLEVELAND, Ohio Sept 30 2019 — Police are investigating after a man died after being assaulted Saturday morning.
The man was found about 4:30 a.m. on Detroit Avenue near West 95th Street, Cleveland police Sgt. spokeswoman Jennifer Ciaccia said.
Police found the man with injuries to his head, lying in the street.
Paramedics took the man to MetroHealth where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Investigators learned the man was walking down the street when three men got out of cars, got into an altercation with the man and assaulted him, police said. The men drove away.
Two security guards found the man on the ground, police said.
No arrests have been made and the man has not yet been identified.
