Reno woman arrested after assaulting casino security staff
Carson City NV November 4 2019
A 57-year-old Reno woman was arrested in the 500 block of N. Carson Street for battery after allegedly refusing to leave a local casino.
According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the area on report of a female subject refusing to leave the casino and being uncooperative with security, and had become physically combative.
When deputies arrived, they spoke to security who advised the woman was inside the restaurant jumping from table to table and “creating problems.”
When security asked her to leave, she made a threatening remark towards them, and they escorted her outside. The woman then attempted to punch security, who raised their arm to block the punch and was struck in the elbow.
Security grabbed the woman’s forearm, put her hands behind her back and “assisted her to the ground,” according to the report. The woman threatened to stab security in the neck, according to security, and they then put her in handcuffs.
She was taken into custody without incident.
