Female security guard shot during robbery dies
Malabar Trinidad and Tobago November 11 2019
One of the two security guards who were shot during a robbery in Malabar last Friday, has died.
The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Natalie Shelly-Ann Leon, of Malabar, Arima.
Leon succumbed to her injuries at the Eric Williams Sciences Center this week.
She was shot around 8.30 pm that day.
Police were told that the security guards were tasked with delivering a package of documents in Malabar.
However, while en route, they were the victims of an armed robbery, which resulted in both of the officers being shot.
The suspects then relieved the guards of some personal items before fleeing the scene.
Region Two Homicide Bureau officers are continuing investigations.
