Batavia IL December 13 2019
A recently fired temporary employee was arrested after he allegedly threatened to shoot a security guard at his former place of work Wednesday morning, Batavia police said.
Derri N. Enoch Jr., 27, of DeKalb, was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanor charges, police said.
Enoch arrived to work at Suncast Corporation, 701 N. Kirk Road, and had been advised on Wednesday and previously by security officers that he was no longer allowed on the property and had been terminated. It was not clear when Enoch had been fired.
Enoch allegedly threatened to shoot the security guard and police were called around 6:20 a.m. Police arrested Enoch who was later released from custody on his own recognizance.
Enoch did not show a gun and officers were not able to locate one on scene, police said.
