NYPD charge man with robbery after threatening security agent with knife

NYPD officers responded to a man with a knife call at a store and found that a shoplifter being detained by security pulled a knife and threatened to injure the security officer.
Officers classified the scene as a robbery on Albee Square W. store.
The security agent told police that the suspect allegedly tried to steal some clothes from the store between Fulton and Willoughby streets at 11:45 am and threatened the security guard with a kitchen knife.
Police searched the area and arrested the man 15 minutes later.
The man has been charged with felony robbery charges.
