US Air Force security forces officer killed in crash
CAMP BULLIS, TEXAS Aug 31 2017 — Second Lt. Nicholas Taylor, a security forces officer with the 1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron at Hurlburt Field, died in a car accident about 5 p.m. last Saturday near Camp Bullis, Texas.
Taylor was pronounced dead at 5:39 p.m. by the attending physician at University Hospital of San Antonio, Air Force officials said in a news release. They said Taylor was attending Security Forces Officer training at Camp Bullis.
“When a tragedy like this occurs our entire AFSOC (Air Force Special Operations Command) community is impacted by such a terrible loss,” Col. Steven Breeze, vice commander of the 1st Special Operations Wing, said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Lieutenant Taylor’s friends and family during this difficult time, and we are here to provide any comfort and assistance we are able.”
