Former AZ school security guard pleads guilty to sex charges
YUMA, Ariz. January 24 2020 The former San Luis High School security guard accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student has pleaded guilty to sexual conduct with a minor.
Court documents show that Lizbeth Coronel Gomez admitted to San Luis Police that she had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old.
The relationship started in November 2017 on social media and continued through May 2018 becoming sexual, according to court documents.
The presentence report shows at one point the woman and student had sex in the car, while a four-year-old was in the back seat.
The student told San Luis Police officers Gomez took him to hotels in Mexico and Yuma to continue the relationship.
Gomez signed a plea agreement, but it was rejected and now she may face time in prison. Gomez pleaded guilty on December 3.
Another San Luis High School student even claimed he had pictures and videos of the two. That’s what ultimately led to her arrest, according to court documents. Gomez admitted to San Luis Police that she sent the pictures and videos to the boy.
Gomez was arrested last September and was immediately fired by the Yuma Union High School District.
