St John County Fla March 4 2020
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is searching for three people in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars worth of electronics at a Durbin Park Walmart Sunday.
Two men and a woman were spotted opening a cabinet and taking electronics on the shelves at about 3 a.m., a Sheriff’s Office post said. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chuck Mulligan said the items were worth almost $9,000.
They put the items in a car seat box, the post said. They left in a gold, 4-door car.
Anyone with information pertaining to the theft or the suspects is asked to contact sstuart@sjso.org.
A Middleburg man was accused of hitting a man with a beer bottle at the White Lion Friday.
Joseph Michael Sealey, 28, was seen by a security guard when he attempted to take a beer on the patio around 10 a.m., according to a St. Augustine Police Department report.
When the security guard approached, Sealey hit a different man with the beer, causing cuts to the man’s chin. Officers arrested Sealey at the scene without incident.
Sealey was charged with aggravated battery and released Saturday afternoon on a $5,000 bond.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report shots fired near Nassau Street from Saturday.
No one was hurt, according to Mulligan.
He said the incident arose from an argument, which detectives were attempting to determine the cause. Both people — who were legally carrying firearms — fired multiple rounds, Mulligan said.
The two people have been identified by the Sheriff’s Office , but their names were not released. Mulligan said the investigation was ongoing.
