Walker County AL Officers Make More Than 120 Arrests During Warrant Sweeps
Walker County AL March 17 2020 The Walker County Sheriff’s Office recently kicked off an effort dubbed “Operation March Madness” that has resulted in 122 arrests for the month so far.
In the first week of March, 95 arrests were made by the patrol, narcotics, investigations, K9 and warrant divisions. The arrests were for felonies, misdemeanors, Sheriff’s Office warrants and people wanted by other agencies. Those arrests preceded 27 arrests that were made on Wednesday.
Narcotics operations Wednesday were kicked off with the capture of U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Joshua Wayne Burnett. After that, 30 officers from the Walker County Sheriff’s Office (patrol, K9, narcotics, SWAT, investigations and jail), Dora Police Department, Alabama Department of Corrections K9 Tracking Unit and Alabama State Probation (Walker County Office) divided up into four teams to simultaneously execute arrest warrants throughout the county. Drugs and stolen property were recovered during the arrests.
Investigators located an ATV that was stolen two days prior from the Parrish community. A 2019 Polaris Sportsman 850 Highlifter was recovered from inside a residence while conducting a warrant check on Ripley Court in Carbon Hill.
One of the arrest teams then had a vehicle flee from Carbon Hill to Jasper, then up Highway 5, but the suspect was quickly taken into custody. The Jasper Police Department assisted with the vehicle pursuit.
Investigators recovered trafficking weight of heroin (approximately 4.2 grams), distribution weight of methamphetamine (approximately 19 grams), Oxycodone, Xanax, marijuana and drug paraphernalia during Wednesday’s operations.
In addition to Burnett, the following 26 people were arrested during Wednesday’s operations:
- Justin Kyle Harvill, 36, of Jasper, was arrested on Boldo Road and charged with trafficking heroin and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Tony Derrick Garrison, 31, of Carbon Hill, was arrested for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
- Tiffany Cheyenne Lindsey, 22, of Jasper, was arrested for two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
- Bradley Shaquille Taylor, 27, of Quinton, arrested for two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. One count of UDCS also included a charge of selling near a school.
- Ronnie Wayne Ratliff, 37, of Curry, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree possession of marijuana. A probation/parole hold was also placed on Ratliff.
- Heidi Nicole Estes, 33, of McCollum, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree possession of marijuana. A probation/parole hold was also placed on Estes.
- Justin Lee Harris, 30, of Dora, was arrested on Dilworth Bend Road for two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Robert Blake Tidwell, 31, of Sipsey, was arrested for unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, third-degree receiving stolen property, obstructing justice using a false identity and two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Amanda Cheyanne Carey, 28, of Carbon Hill, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of prescription medication and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Kathrin Roshan Canada, 32, of Jasper, was arrested for failure to appear on unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
- Starla Joann Decatur, 39, of Cordova, was arrested for failure to appear on unlawful possession of a controlled substance and second-degree promoting prison contraband.
- Charles Austin Mote, 26, of Columbia, Tennessee, was arrested for attempting to elude, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.
- Bobby Lee Kilgore, 39 of Jasper, was arrested on a probation revocation warrant.Kilgore was also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Natosha Derrick, 35, of Jasper, was arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Bradley Daniel Willard, 41, of Anniston, was arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Christopher Travis Williams, 45, of Manchester, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
- Thomas Dewayne Mullinax, 36, of Oakman, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
- Elisha Kaye Crowe Christian, 41, of Jasper, was arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Allison Judith Mann, 25, of Jasper, was arrested for a warrant with the Jasper Police Department.
- Brooklyn Paige Thomas, 23, of Jasper, was arrested for possession of marijuana 2nd and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Gabrill Houston Channell, 22, of Jasper, was arrested for second-degree possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Erica Jade Mull, 28, of Jasper, was arrested for second-degree possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Sidney Allan Mann, 54, of Jasper, was arrested for second-degree possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Katelin Lindsey Pollock, 23, of Saragossa, arrested on a warrant with the Jasper Police Department.
- Joey Audie Griffin, 40, of Jasper, was arrested on a warrant with the Jasper Police Department.
- Sara Elaine Kytle, 24, of Parrish, was arrested on a warrant with the Jasper Police Department.
