Countless Security Officers Working Without Protective Equipment

As I walked through my local grocery store, I noticed two unarmed contract security officers patrolling down the aisles.
I purposely looked to see if they were wearing PPE/personal protective equipment and they were not. No masks, no gloves, no gowns.
From a distance of at least six feet away, I stopped the security officers and asked about this.
Both stated that their company, a well-known national security contractor, had not provided any and that all of their security officers have not been issued any protective gear at any account.
One security officer stated that one of their bigger accounts in the Charlotte area, a hospital, had been providing the security officers on duty there PPE but that they had stopped two days earlier because the medical staff needed the equipment and the hospital was low on all the safety gear.
In media photos, countless security officers including TSA staff have been photographed wearing no personal protective equipment.
While many businesses are closed or operating at reduced hours, thousands of security officers remain at work protecting the public without the proper protective gear.
