SC man ties up security officer, stole pallets of crab legs
Lexington, SC May 29 2020
A man has been arrested after Lexington County deputies said he tied up a security officer and stole two pallets of crab legs worth thousands of dollars.
Johnathan Dorsey, 28, is a former employee of the warehouse and is accused of stealing frozen crab legs worth $8,400, said deputies.
Deputies said they believe Dorsey and other co-defendants threatened the security officer with a pistol and stole his key card while he was faced down to get access into the warehouse at the U.S. Foods distribution center on Jan 18.
Dorsey is charged with armed robbery, second-degree burglary and kidnapping.
Dorsey is also charged with two counts of breach of trust after deputies said they confirmed he stole a hundred cases of crab legs worth nearly $36,000 back in October while he was an employee at the warehouse.
Dorsey is out on bond and deputies said they expect to make more arrests.
