Ohio security guards detain shooting suspect
Montgomery County OH Oct 2 2017 A 40-year-old man is in the Montgomery County Jail accused in the shooting that left a man dead and a second man wounded, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Demetrius Williams, 40, is booked on preliminary charges of felonious assault and having weapons under disability, according to jail records. The sheriff’s office said the investigation into Williams is still ongoing, so it’s not clear whether murder charges will be approved.
Plush Gentlemen’s Club security guards reportedly detained a shooting suspect until police arrived.
A security guard who called 911 said two people were shot, one of which appeared to be dead. The security guard said the shooter was in handcuffs.
Deputies have not commented. We are working to learn more.
One person is confirmed dead in an early morning shooting outside the Plush Gentlemen’s Club in Harrison Twp.
The club’s owner told News Center 7’s Lauren Clark two people were shot in a drive-by shooting. He said the victims were refused entry into the club and had been involved in an altercation at another bar.
We are waiting to confirm his reports with police.
The fatal victim has not been identified. There is a sheet over a body in a grassy area outside of Plush Gentlemen’s Club, 2213 Wagner Ford Road. The shooting was reported just after 3 a.m.
Multiple medics were requested to the scene.
