18-year-old security guard assaulted at Gateway Mall
LINCOLN, Neb. Sept 15 2020 A mall security guard was assaulted Friday by a group of people who were causing disturbances and refusing to wear masks, police said.
The 18-year-old security guard at Round1 Bowling & Amusement inside Gateway Mall followed the group, which had been asked to leave several times, into the bathroom, police said.
The guard reported one of the people then punched him several times in the face and took his work badge.
The guard’s supervisor told police the group had been involved in several disturbances and altercations with other customers throughout the night, and that they had refused to wear face masks when asked.
