Alabama woman shoplifted 85 articles of clothing at Galleria Mall
Hoover AL Nov 1 2017 A Walker County woman was busted over the weekend after police said she shoplifted dozens of articles of clothing at the Riverchase Galleria.
Jessica Joyce Rainer, 25, of Oakman, is charged with first-degree theft of property and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Hoover police on Friday were dispatched to Belk on a shoplifting call. Store loss prevention agents had taken a female – later identified as Rainer – into custody after they saw her stuff 85 articles of clothing in various shopping bags and attempt to leave the store.
When Hoover officers got on the scene, they also found her in possession of methamphetamine, as well as several drivers licenses and credit cards that did not belong to her.
She was taken to the Hoover City Jail and then the Jefferson County Jail on bonds totaling $14,000.
