Saint Louis University security officer fatally shoots man armed with two guns
ST LOUIS MO June 26 2021– A man is dead after a Saint Louis University security officer saw him holding two firearms early Friday morning on Locust Street.
The commander of the Homicide Unit Lt. Scott Aubuchon said the SLU security officer encountered the man at 3301 Locust Street at 12:31 a.m.
Aubuchon said at some point the security guard fired his gun at the man.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police officers were called to the shooting and found the 66-year-old man “near the curb suffering from gunshot wounds.”\
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are calling the 66-year-old man who died the suspect. They are calling the security officer the victim.
The security officer was uninjured.
Aubuchon said police are still determining who is at fault in this situation.
