Man shot in chest after trying to run over security guards at San Antonio nightclub
SAN ANTONIO TX July 6 2021 –Â Police are investigating a shooting outside a North Side nightclub.
The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. outside the Burnhouse Nightclub on N. Loop 1604 near Lockhill Selma Road.
Police said that someone tried to run over the security guards at the front of the club, hitting one of the security guards.
At some point during the incident, the security guard and suspects in the vehicle exchanged gunfire.
The suspects drove off on Loop 1604 and crashed into another vehicle and kept driving. There were no injuries reported from that crash.
The suspect’s vehicle stopped a short distance later. Police said that the driver was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The security guard was treated for minor injuries.
Nobody else was injured.
