Every year, tens of thousands of people go missing.
According to FBI data in 2020, more than 540,000 people went missing, including more than 340,000 juveniles, according to the data.
Among those missing sometimes, are law enforcement and private security officers who just disappear from their duty assignment.
Thankfully, most are found or return home on their own within a few hours or a few days.
But sometimes they don’t.
No phone calls, or emails, or any other form of communication. Complete silence. Disappearing without any trace.
During the past thirty-five years, at least 19 security officers were confirmed to have gone missing while working. Some were later found while others remain missing and there are many unanswered questions as to what happened to them.
From time to time, law enforcement officers also have been reported missing. Sometimes leading to the most tragic and heartbreaking discoveries.
MISSING in UNIFORM, a new 6-episode docuseries explores these sudden disappearances and the mysteries behind them.
We’ll follow each missing person’s report and bring you the details, the search, the pains, the horrors, and what happened to the missing.
