Private Officer International presents Purple Heart Medal to injured federal agent
Gulfport MS December 22 2021
On Tuesday, December 21st, Rick McCann, Founder/CEO of Private Officer International, met with a federal agent who had been injured in the line of duty while serving with the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force.
Border Patrol Agent Jorge L Rodriguez was assigned last year to the task force and was serving a fugitive warrant with his team when they came under fire.
While defending themselves, another agent was shot in the neck and Rodriguez immediately returned fire while covering the injured agent and bringing him to safety. Rodriguiz was also injured but stayed in the fight until the suspect surrendered.
Mr. McCann presented the Purple Heart Medal to Agent Rodriguez during a ceremony as well as awarding him with a Lifetime Private Officer International membership.
It has always been and always will be our goal to recognize both private security personnel and our law enforcement officers across the country and globally for their heroic actions.
Agent Rodriguez’s actions that day no doubt saved his partner’s life and those of his team
and we honor him today.
