Suffolk County Woman Accused Of Stealing and Threatening Macy’s Security Agent with a Knife
PATCHOGUE, NY Jan 29th, 2022— A Patchogue woman stole from Macy’s at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove and then waved a knife and threatened a security guard back in December, Suffolk police said.
Teshara Trent, 31, went inside the department store on Oct. 31 at about 3:16 p.m. and stole over $1,000 worth of merchandise, according to police.
Trent went back to the store on Dec. 15 at about 1 p.m. and stole property and then “threatened a security guard with a knife,” police said.
It is unclear what Trent stole from the store.
She fled the area before police arrived on both occasions.
She was charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny on Jan. 25, according to police.
