Career security professional falls victim to Covid19
Charlotte NC March 1 2022
Freddy Robinson had worked every type of private security that one could imagine.
He started with a contract security company in Connecticut and was quickly assigned as a supervisor at a nuclear power plant.
His cousin had talked him into trying retail security and after four years as a nuclear security supervisor, he headed over to JC Penney and worked as a loss prevention agent for a number of years at the Westfarms Mall location and then went on to several other retailers before taking a position as a branch manager with contract security company CPP.
After more than forty years working in various types of security positions, he decided to try being semi-retired and moved to south Florida where he once again found himself working security at a gated community.
In January, Robinson became ill with the Covid virus and was hospitalized and passed away just before
his seventieth birthday. He left behind a wife, several grown children, and grandchildren.
At this time, there are more than four hundred known security officer deaths contributed to the Covid19 virus.
