Three children shot at Whitehaven Library
MEMPHIS, Tenn. March 5 2022— A shooting at the Whitehaven Library left 3 boys hurt.
On Mar. 3, at approximately 2:22 p.m., officers received a call from a security guard at the Whitehaven Library, regarding multiple women fighting.
One of the women claimed she was jumped by the group.
After the fight was over, someone from the group decided to call a family member to the scene.
40 minutes later, police officers received another call at the Whitehaven Library.
The caller said two people were shot.
When police arrived, they later found three boys with gunshot wounds.
One of the witnesses told police that she saw a small SUV drive eastbound on Raines Road with a woman driving, a man was hanging out the rear passenger window firing 5-6 shots, then fled the scene.
The three boys were taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for treatment.
A man was arrested.
