Man charged with battering police officer and security guard during fight at Six Flags in Gurnee

A Chicago man was arrested after he allegedly pushed a police officer and hit a security guard in the face during a fight at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee on Saturday.
Kenneth Tabor, 32, of the 4900 block of West Crystal Street in Chicago, was charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer, three counts of battery and three counts of resisting a peace officer.
Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Brooke Wanzenberg said during a bond hearing that the Gurnee Police Department responded Saturday to a report of a fight between patrons at Six Flags Great America.
A Gurnee police officer arrived and told Tabor to stop fighting with another patron.
Tabor allegedly refused to stop fighting and pushed the officer, Wanzenberg said.
A security guard also attempted to break up the fight and Tabor allegedly struck him in the face.
He then allegedly resisted when three police officers tried to arrest him.
Tabor battered another subject in the incident, Wanzenberg said. No one was injured.
Lake County Judge Veronica O’Malley set Tabor’s bond at $20,000 and called his alleged actions “serious.”
Tabor posted bond and was released on Monday, court records show.
He was ordered to not have contact with Six Flags Great America as a condition of his bond.
Tabor is scheduled to appear for a status hearing Tuesday morning.
