Apartment security guard charged in sexual assault of 12-year-old girl
SAN ANTONIO TX Dec 8 2017 — Police have arrested a man they say worked as a security guard at an apartment complex where a 12-year-old victim and her family lived.
Investigators were first notified of the incident when the victim made an outcry to staff at her school.
When officers arrived, she told them that she and 25-year-old Darius Hackett met up and had sexual relations, according to the affidavit. At one point, he allegedly recorded the incident.
When investigators talked to the victim’s parents, her father said he once caught Hackett talking to the victim in the leasing office of the complex located off Country Village Road.
Hackett, wearing a security guard uniform, claimed he was asking her for directions when the father confronted him.
The leasing office staff later confirmed that Hackett was employed as a security officer.
Hackett was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
