Security officer murdered, second officer shot at Ga. nightclub
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. October 25 2022 Police are investigating a shooting outside a DeKalb County nightclub and flea market that left one security officer dead and another hospitalized early Tuesday morning.
The Cosmopolitan Premier Lounge is located in the 4500 block of Glenwood Road near Interstate 285.
Crime scene investigators were scene and focused on at least one vehicle in the parking lot of lounge and a number of shell casings and evidence markers could be seen littering the parking lot.
According to police, officers responded to the lounge after reports of two person shot.
Investigators believe there was a dispute inside the club and customers were told to leave. Once outside, the suspect started firing, hitting the two security officers, police say.
Police have not released the identity of either victim.
No one is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
