SECURITY OFFICER DEAD AFTER ASSAULT

A security officer found with multiple injuries at a closed business has
died at a hospital police said.
At around 5: 20 a.m. Tuesday, a woman heading to catch a bus for work discovered the man wearing a security uniform lying on the sidewalk covered in blood and called 911.
Police at first thought that the man had been struck by a vehicle but once EMS arrived on scene, they determined that he had multiple fractures and bruising consistent with an assault.
Police have not released his name.
