Georgia man charged in murder of security guard
BIBB COUNTY, Ga. December 21, 2022 An arrest has been made in a fatal shooting outside a Macon business.
In a media release, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Andrew Ronnie Mullis was arrested for the shooting death of a security guard identified as 42-year-old Dedrick Bulls. Investigators say Bulls was shot to death outside Full House Tavern on Bloomfield Road on December 12, 2022.
Mullis turned himself in to investigators around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday.
Mullis’ arrest follows new details released Monday about the fatal shooting.
Deputies said that prior to arriving at the tavern, they received a call from a person who said that there was a fight between an ex-employee and a security guard, who was since identified as Bulls.
Deputies reported at least one witness said a group of people, including the witness, were standing outside of the tavern having a conversation about boxing when the suspect later identified as Mullis, pulled out a gun and pointed it at someone.
Deputies reported that per the witness, Bulls told the suspect to put the gun away and that’s when they say Mullis shot Bulls before fleeing the scene in a blue Ford Expedition.
Mullis faces murder and aggravated assault and battery charges and is being held without bond.
