Ventura security officers capture three burglary suspects
Ventura CA Dec 20 2017 Three men were arrested in Ventura early Monday morning after a report of alarms being activated at a car dealership in the 6300 block of King Drive.
Juan Arceo, 47, of Oxnard, and Fernando Salinas, 28, of Oxnard, were arrested shortly after midnight when security guards detained the pair,
Ventura police said. Ventura Police Department officials said they learned Arceo and Salinas cut through a fence and took several items from inside.
When officers found Arceo’s car, they found a third man sleeping in the back seat. Police said the man lied about his name, and he was eventually arrested on a warrant.
All three men were booked into Ventura County jail.
Arceo was arrested on suspicion of grand theft, felony conspiracy to commit a crime and misdemeanor drug possession, according to jail records. He is being held on $75,000 bail and is set to appear in Ventura County Superior Court Wednesday.
Salinas was arrested on suspicion of felony grand theft, felony conspiracy to commit a crime and felony carrying a dagger. His bail is set at $40,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
The third man, also from Oxnard, was arrested on the outstanding warrant and suspicion of misdemeanor giving a false name to a police officer. He was being held on $17,500 bail, according to jail records.
