TSA officers help save pilot in cardiac arrest at Virginia airport

Two TSA officers helped save a pilot’s life after he went into cardiac arrest at Richmond International Airport.

The officers were in the middle of a security operation when they noticed the pilot looking unwell. That’s when they jumped into action.
“There was somebody turning blue in my arms and I needed to do something,” said TSA Officer Nigel Allen.
Law enforcement responded in seconds and Allen ran and grabbed an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) that was used to bring a pulse back to the pilot’s heart.
The pilot regained a pulse and consciousness and is now recovering.
His family has expressed their deepest appreciation for Officer Allen’s help and everyone else involved.
