PA. man charged with murder in fatal shooting of private security officer
York County PA May 19, 2023 A York man has been arrested in connection with the 2022 murder of a private security officer in Berks County, according to State Police.
On August 6, 2022, 37-year-old Troy Rickenbach of West Reading, Berks County, was shot and killed just after midnight while he was patrolling in the area of Quarry Road and Mineview Drive in Morgantown.
State Police said they believed the suspect was stealing catalytic converters.
Another person, 43-year-old Rafael Yambo was injured when he was shot in the arm, according to police.
On Thursday, State Police announced they had arrested 34-year-old David Brian Hartsook of York in connection with the shooting.
Hartsook was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 500 block of North West Street in York and is facing a number of charges including 1st-degree murder, 3rd-degree murder, and criminal attempted 1st-degree murder, among other charges, according to State Police.
