Lawsuit claims security service failed to pay final wages for more than 150 employees
Edwardsville IL June 14, 2023 A class action lawsuit alleges Securitas Security Services has failed to properly pay more than 150 employees at the end of their employment.
Plaintiff Joseph C. Pipkin filed a class action lawsuit in the Madison County Circuit Court against Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. for unpaid wages.
According to the lawsuit, Pipkin is a former employee of Securitas Security Services. Pipkin alleges that he ceased working for the company in July 2020. Since then, he claims the defendant has failed to pay him for four personal days, four sick days, and one floating holiday, which he is entitled to under the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act.
The lawsuit alleges that more than 150 former Securitas employees were not paid final wages in full at the end of their employment within the 10 years prior to filing this lawsuit.
The plaintiff is seeking monetary damages in excess of $50,000 for himself and the proposed class, plus court costs, interest, attorney fees and any other relief the court deems proper. He is represented by the attorney Thomas G. Maag of the Maag Law Firm in Wood River.
