Two killed, one injured when shots fired into vehicle on I-95 in Richmond
Richmond VA May 15 2017 Two people were killed and another person was seriously injured when the vehicle they were riding in was shot into multiple times on Interstate 95 near exit 75 in Richmond early Sunday morning.
Virginia State Police said a 2017 Nissan was traveling on I-95 north bound at approximately 3:43 a.m. Sunday when a newer model white, four-door sedan pulled up next to it on the driver’s side and someone fired shots into the Nissan.
There were seven occupants in the Nissan. The driver, an adult female, died at the scene. A female passenger was transported to VCU Medical Center where she died. A male passenger was taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
There were no other injuries, and the shooting is considered to be a targeted incident. Police have not released the names of the victims.
