Pop-up marijuana event in Syracuse robbed of weed, money and security guard’s gun
Syracuse, N.Y. January 1, 2024— A security guard at a pop-up marijuana event in Syracuse Saturday told police that the event was robbed by several people armed with guns.
The event at 3122 Grant Blvd. was reported to be robbed around 1:17 p.m. of marijuana, money, and the guard’s gun, Lt. Matthew Malinowski, a Syracuse police spokesperson, said.
The guard told police that people with guns approached the event and ordered people on the ground before robbing the event and running away, Malinowski said.
No arrests have been made.
