Security guard shot outside Downtown Music Hall in Fort Walton Beach
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. January 5 2024– Fort Walton Beach Police are investigating a shooting from early Wednesday morning that left a security guard injured.
Police say the shooting happened at around 2:36 a.m. on 212 Miracle Strip Parkway SE at the Downtown Music Hall.
Police who arrived on scene say they were told the victim, who was working security, was escorting the suspect out of the establishment before being shot in the leg. The injury is considered non-life threatening.
Detectives with the Fort Walton Beach Police Department have identified several witnesses and a person of interest. They say this appears to be an isolated incident.
