Tuscaloosa Alabama Security Guard Charged With Murder
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. January 22, 2024
A shooting that led to the death of one person at a lounge in Tuscaloosa early Sunday morning has also resulted in the arrest of a security guard.
Tuscaloosa police said Rashid Little, 28, was shot around 1 a.m. at the CRU Lounge in the 6500 block of Highway 69 South.
TPD officers and sheriff’s deputies attempted life-saving measures on Little but were not able to save him.
After interviewing witnesses and watching several videos, investigators found that the alleged shooter was Aaron Dewayne Hill, 35, a contract security guard at the business, who had left the scene.
They discovered that Hill and Little, who was unarmed, had been in an altercation at the lounge just prior to the shooting.
Officers located Hill later Sunday morning, along with a woman who had been at the lounge with him. Both were arrested.
Hill is charged with murder. The woman, Thyais Walker, 47, who is a felon, is charged with certain persons forbidden to possess pistol.
Both are being held in jail on no bond.
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is investigating and said more charges are possible.
