On-duty security guard charged with sexual assault
Bristol Township PA March 5, 2024
A Bristol Township security guard has been charged with indecent assault without consent and other offenses.
A female employee of a contractor used by Kinder Morgan, the operator of the international port in Falls Township, reported that she was assaulted by a security guard at the facility, according to court papers.
The woman began working at the port in April 2023 and came into contact with security guard Abiodun Olatidoye Balogun, 50, as he checked her identification, police said.
The woman reported that over her employment she had her breasts stroked and was grabbed over her clothing by Balogun on two occasions, police said.
In one incident last October, the woman reported that she told Balogun “no” and tried to pull away as he “forcefully” touched her. Her statements didn’t stop the security guard, police said.
“I love this so much,” he allegedly told the woman. “I got to take you out drinking, girl.”
The woman told investigators she was eventually able to break free and went to another security guard at the site, police said.
After the October incident, the woman emailed Kinder Morgan management with details on the two alleged assaults, police said.
The woman also made a report to police at the time.
Ahead of charges being filed, the woman was interviewed by a detective who responded to the port, according to court papers.
Balogun was charged with two counts of indecent assault without consent and harassment. He is set to have a preliminary hearing before District Judge John Galloway on March 19.
