Roane Medical Center security officer disarms man threatening to kill wife
Harriman TN May 16 2017 A man came to the Roane Medical Center Friday afternoon with a firearm and threatened to kill his wife.
A hospital security officer responded while police were called and began to talk with the armed man and was able to convince him to give him his gun.
Harriman police arrived took a man they have identified as Jason Byrge into custody.
“The hospital security officer actually disarmed him before we got there,” said Harriman Police Lt. Jarrod Whitson. “He was actually in the car with the gun, not walking around.”
Byrge allegedly made threats while talking to the security officer also.
Byrge faces numerous charges.
