Albuquerque NM security guard charged with assault, false imprisonment
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. March 29 2018— A security guard who patrolled a McDonald’s in the South Valley is now on the other side of the law.
Police say Arthur Apodaca was working at the fast food restaurant at the corner of Bridge Boulevard and Fourth Street when a customer reported a juvenile had a gun. Police say Apodaca then took out his own gun and pointed it at the boy’s head while spraying him in the face with pepper spray.
It didn’t stop there. Police say Apodaca then pushed the boy against the ground and handcuffed him to a metal pole.
Police say Apodaca then went after the boy’s friends, blocking their car from leaving, pointing his gun at them, putting another man in handcuffs and holding another woman prisoner.
Apodaca is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment.
