Two men rob armored security guard
Liscard England April 1 2018
A security guard has been left shaken after falling to the ground when two men ran towards him during a robbery in Liscard this afternoon.
Police are now appealing for information after the incident, which happened as the security guard was making a cash delivery at a Tesco Express store.
Following the robbery, the two men left the scene on foot and were spotted running past the William Hill bookmakers carrying the cash box.
One of the offenders is described as a man around 6ft tall, wearing a grey jacket with a hood up and black jeans.
The guard was not injured but left very shaken by the incident.
Detective Inspector Judith Blease, of Merseyside Police, said: “Robberies of security guards are not victimless crimes and it is unacceptable for this guard to be subjected to this ordeal while he was just carrying out his job.
“We are carrying out a number of enquiries in the area including the examination of CCTV and forensic enquiries.”
