Woman beaten bloody in a casino parking lot in Biloxi
BILOXI, MS. April 1 2018
A woman says she was beaten bloody as she was leaving a Biloxi casino early Sunday morning. The woman says a group of men followed her to her car then one of the men attacked her.
It was another night in the “Playground of the South” until a fun time turned traumatic for Summer Baham.
“As soon as he opened the door he just started swinging,”
Baham says she was attacked in the parking garage of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in biloxi.
“I could see nothing. He had me pinned in my vehicle.” Baham said.”I punched him. I kicked him. I scratched him and he kept coming with the blows.”
Baham was leaving a friend’s bachelorette party when she says she was approached by 4 men who made advances towards her. After ignoring them, one of the men followed her to the car. She tried to fight back but there was little she could do.
“This wasn’t just a simple attack. There was a lot of anger, a lot of hate in this,” she said.
Biloxi police say they’re still looking for the man responsible. They provided a picture (above) taken from surveillance video of him.
“I wouldn’t call him a man. He’s a coward, to be honest with you,” said Derrick Baham, Summer’s husband.
He was miles away at the time of the incident. Feeling helpless, he says it was a scary time for him.
“I honestly thought she was being raped, the way she was screaming. I couldn’t comprehend anything she was saying. I told her to calm down and she said I’m bleeding everywhere,” he said.
Luckily two other men, who Baham believes were her guardian angels, heard her screams and called 911.
“They saved me. They really did. There’s no telling if he would have continued to beat me,” she said.
