Man used keys to stab, kill co-worker at airport
PHILADELPHIA PA May 7 2018 — Police say a worker at Philadelphia’s airport used his keys to fatally stab a colleague during an argument at the airport.
Philadelphia police say 35-year-old Kevin Emanuel and another man argued about a light inside a room set aside for employees to use during breaks from work. Their dispute Thursday turned physical but was broken up by another worker, 28-year-old Aaron Jenkins.
Authorities say Emanuel and Jenkins started fighting, and Emanuel allegedly stuck his keys into Jenkins’ left thigh, striking the femoral artery.
Jenkins later died.
Emanuel is charged with murder and possession of an instrument of crime.
Authorities say the men were employed by a company that cleans planes for Frontier Airlines.
It wasn’t known Friday if Emanuel has retained an attorney.
