Cedar Rapids man arrested for assaulting hospital security officer
Cedar Rapids IA May 10 2018Â A disturbance at the local hospital left a Cedar Rapids man under arrest.
Police responded to a disturbance at the Mercy Medical Center Tuesday where a security officer had been assaulted.
Joshua I. Lawson, 34, was arrested around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday after he caused a disturbance inside the hospital at 701 10th St. SE, according to court records.
Lawson is accused of assaulting a security guard, injuring him.
He also faces disorderly conduct charges and assault causing injury based on allegations he assaulted a security guard.
He faces a court hearing and it is unknown if he has an attorney in this matter.
