Bridgeport women charged in thefts at Danbury Fair Mall
DANBURY, Conn. June 2 2017— Two Bridgeport women were arrested last week for stealing more than 70 items from six different stores at the Danbury Fair Mall, according to police.
Police were called to the mall on a larceny complaint at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26. When they arrived, they met with Mall Security, who had the two women in custody. The women were identified as 31-year-old Shanan Jordan and 29-year-old Dorothy Freelove.
Police said that Jordan and Freelove had stolen the items from several stores, including Pac Sun, Victoria’s Secret and Forever 21. In all, the items were worth more than $2,000, according to police.
Both women were charged with third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny and organized retail theft. There were released after posting $2,500 bonds and will appear in court on June 6.
