Richmond Heights security officer stops armed bank robbery
RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio July 19 2018 – Police say that an alert bank security officer has stopped an attempted aggravated robbery,
The security officer at Ohio Savings Bank saw three males drive a vehicle in front of the bank at 10:53 a.m. July 11.
She said two of them got out and covered their faces with shirts and began fumbling for something in their hooded sweatshirts.
The officer locked the doors and had an employee call police.
The suspects fled in the vehicle before officers arrived but police have developed some leads that indicate that a Cleveland man, 18, may have been one of the possible suspects.
Police said that they are continuing their investigation.
