HOUSTON TX Aug 24 2018
Houston area police are on the hunt for three men suspected in an armed robbery of an adult bookstore who also disarmed the security guard and sexually assaulted a store employee.
The robbery was reported just after 3 a.m., when four armed men entered the store, which is open 24 hours, according to their website.
The men took a security guard’s gun at gunpoint along with the keys to their vehicle, police said.
They then demanded cash from the employee, and two of the gunmen sexually assaulted her, according to police reports.
The woman was able to set off a panic alarm, causing them to leave out of the back door of the building and flee in the security guard’s vehicle.
Police began a pursuit of the robbers, who fled on the highway. The chase ended after the suspects’ car lost control and struck a cement column under the freeway, police said.
Police were able to get one of the suspects into custody but three others got away according to police.
The employee was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
