Airline passengers are back: TSA Screened More Than 400K Over Weekend
Atlanta GA June 10 2020 Air travel isn’t sky high just yet, but it’s certainly on its back way up.
In fact, this weekend was the busiest air travel has been since the coronavirus pandemic began.
More than 400,000 people were screened by the Transportation Security Administration on Friday and Sunday.
The TSA says it’s the first time that’s happened in nearly 11 weeks.
And American Airlines said it saw a boost too.
It says this was its busiest weekend since early March.
Still, air travel hasn’t completely bounced back.
The TSA said Sunday was only 17% of the same Sunday last year.
