Alaska 13-Year-Old Teen Arrested For Drafting Plans To Mass Shoot Every Student In His School

The school shooting is becoming a common phenomenon in the US. Recently, two 13 years old boys were arrested by the Alaska police authority as they were planning to bring guns to their school and kill the fellow students. Juneau Police Department made the arrest.
The boys were taken into custody from their school, Floyd Dryden Middle School on Thursday morning.
They had received a report on the crime being planned by the boys on Wednesday night.
The police have made a lot of arrests in the last few weeks relating to mass violence threat. In the last month, more than 31 people have been killed in shooting in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio.
A classmate of the two boys had overheard them discussing the shooting plans. His parents informed and alerted the police authorities. The police took the boys in custody and questioned them about their plan.
The boys were arrested for making terroristic threats. It is a felony offense in Alaska. Classes were conducted as per the routine in the school. All the parents were updated by the district through an email.
The police have been training themselves to deal with situations. The district has increased security measures. The staff has been trained for active shooter situations.
The district’s chief of staff Kristin Bartlett told “Every year, we get a little bit better about putting all of these aspects in place, so that we’re teaching in an environment where people feel secure,”. He further said, “We have preventative measures in place. They’re prepared, and it takes everybody in the school to work together.”
The police had arrested a 16-year-old boy making terroristic threats in January.
