Alert security officer helps nab man with stolen vehicle and drugs
BROOK PARK, Ohio May 12 2019
A security officer on duty late at night at a car dealership noticed a man park a vehicle and begin to act suspiciously walking in and out of the car lot.
The Metro Lexus security officer called police about the suspicious man hiding between cars in the lot. He told police that the man had arrived in a red pickup truck.
When police arrived, they saw the pickup truck driving away. Police followed.
The truck entered another parking lot on Brookpark.
At that time, police initiated a traffic stop.
Officers checked the license plate number and determined that the truck had been stolen.
Police found unidentified pills and a makeshift snorting pipe in the truck.
The Dubois, Pa., man, 59, was arrested at about 11:45 p.m. and charged with driving a stolen 2013 Mitsubishi Eclipse and drug possession.
