Alleged shoplifter killed while running from security guard in north Houston
Houston TX January 12 2020 Houston police say that a man supscted of shoplifting died as he fled from a store security officer and was struck by a vehicle.
The alleged shoplifter was killed Thursday afternoon in the HOV lanes of Interstate 45 according to police.
It’s unclear whether the person was a man or woman.
The security guard reportedly witnessed the person stealing from a Five Below store in Northline Commons shopping center near Interstate 45 and Crosstimbers.
The culprit then ran across the freeway and was fatally struck by a car, police said.
It’s unclear whether the driver stopped on the scene.
Police said that no charges have been filed.
